Experience the mesmerizing fusion of Flamenco puro and Rumba Flamenca with ReVoZo, a dynamic ensemble hailing from New Mexico. Infusing traditional Flamenco rhythms with elements of Cuban Son, Reggae, Cumbia, Ranchera, and Funk, ReVoZo creates a captivating music experience that is both contemporary and deeply rooted in cultural tradition.
Led by renowned vocalist Vicente Griego, ReVoZo has graced stages worldwide, collaborating with some of the most esteemed Flamenco artists of our time. Send Flowers to Survivors
Oklahoma City based, Afro-Indigenous, Afro-Latina florist, The Wild Mother Creative Studio, has partnered with Oklahoma Appleseed Center for Law and Justice, OK Survivor Justice Coalition, Sugarfree Media, and Spark! Creative Lab to provide a large scale floral installation, bringing awareness to criminalized survivors of domestic violence in the State of Oklahoma and beyond. Flower farmers, wholesale florists, & other leaders in the international floral industry are joining together to support The Wild Mother as this team of sisters facilitate collective healing and community care through art in a project The Wild Mother calls #SendFlowersTo.
The installation’s April 20th opening will provide its audience with an empathetic look into the lives of criminalized survivors of domestic violence and an opportunity for a hands-on community response. Follow the hashtag, #SendFlowersToSurvivors to engage the movement.

Did you miss the premiere of THE CULTIVATION OF YIELD at DeadCenter Film Festival last year? 📣 Banner news, friends…this genius SPARK! documentary by Zachary Burns screens in Stillwater at the Red Dirt Film Fesitval!
Directed by Award-winning filmmaker and SPARK! company member Zachary Burns, The Cultivation of YIELD documents how this creative exploration to heal a community blossomed into a history-making project, YIELD: We Belong to the Land at Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center in May 2022.
Responding to the effects of the pandemic and an era of fear, loss and injustice that further fractured and siloed our community, a diverse group of 25 Oklahoma artists came together, with over 300 members of the OKC community, to explore the importance of – and our connection to – the land beneath our feet. Through music, poetry, dance, theater, visual art, and the humanities, SPARK! Creative Lab celebrated the land and people of Oklahoma City, in all its complex glory.

An Evening with Jerome Braggs
In this intimate event, we invite you to embark on a love-infused journey into healing and self with “Only Feed Me Life,” a raw, honest and gentle collection of poetry from beloved poet and writer Jerome Braggs. Using the perspective that poetry is medicine, too, breakout poet Jerome Braggs escorts readers through an exploration of lessons in life, relationships, self-healing, and body image, all of which shine a light on what it takes to face the wholeness of ourselves, and heal. This is your opportunity to hear Jerome read from his book, and learn about the power of poetry as a path to healing. The event is free, and limited to 50 people. First come, first-served. MOMENTUM - OKLAHOMA VISUAL ART COALITION
MOMENTUM is a dynamic exhibition shining a spotlight on the innovative talent of young artists. Taking place on April 5th and 6th at the historic Yale Theater in Oklahoma City, MOMENTUM will illuminate the creativity of visual artists ages 30 and under from across Oklahoma, providing a captivating glimpse into the state’s vibrant and diverse art scene. SPARK! @SECOND SATURDAY XL - OKLAHOMA CONTEMPORARY
Where does freedom live in our bodies? How does hope manifest in our voices? How do the movements of the individual shape a collective journey, and vice versa? Join choreographer Nathaniel Tylor and the artists of SPARK! Creative Lab for a joyful, interactive group workshop inspired by the families of the exhibit Descendants of the Black 1000. Workshops are 20 minutes in length, free, suitable for all ages, and ASL-interpreted. Join us February 10th at Oklahoma Contemporary, at 1:30, 2:30 & 3:30 p.m. in the beautiful Te Ata theater.

MUSIC IS MEDICINE | CREATIVE WELLNESS CONCERT
Performance Artist (and SPARK! company member) Changing FrEQuencies presents "Music as Medicine: Creative Wellness Concert," a 4-hour live, multimedia collection of dynamic performances, artist interviews, wellness information, and more! The event will be live-streamed and recorded from Oklahoma City and Los Angeles.
Featuring OKC and LA artists from diverse backgrounds with expertise across a broad spectrum of creative and expressive performance-based art, audiences will also learn from the artists about their forms of creative expression and the relationship between their art and their personal health and wellness.
Overall our goal is to create a safe space for various peer-to-peer perspectives on health and wellness, coupled with increasing awareness and access to prevention and support services that are culturally sensitive and culturally competent.
april COMMUNITY JAM!
SPARK!’s monthly Community Jam Sessions are fantastic ways for the OKC community to connect through creativity. When we open our doors, folks who just drop by to enjoy the scene find themselves collaborating with local DJs, Dancers, Musicians, Vocalists, Visual Artists, Actors, Poets, Rappers, etc., creating the unexpected and stretching our definition of what a community can be!

Led by company artist Angel Little, February’s Community Jam Session is dedicated to celebrating the ongoing impact and leadership of Black mentors, leaders, and innovators in OKC, whose dedication to the betterment of our collective community calls for a community acknowledgement and celebration! Join us Sunday, February 19th, from 4-6 p.m. to learn about the hard work of some Beautiful Humans in OKC, and lend your ears, voice, movement, music, words, and presence to the celebration! Some prompts to consider: Why is Black History important? What’s the purpose of Black History Month? Whose shoulders do we stand on? How do we define community? What acts make someone a leader?
Logisitics: We have one microphone, percussive instruments, a keyboard, and one amp; if you need more than that, we’ve got plenty of places to plug in!
